In Italy, in 1966, Francesco Morelli founded Istituto Europeo di Design, an innovative school that revolutionized the academic universe by going against the traditional theoretical education and proposing as a complement to theory the practical application of knowledge.
Based on the nexus between knowledge and know-how, IED set off to a great legacy.
Inaugurated in 2005 in the largest Brazilian city, IED São Paulo marked the beginning of the Institute’s activity in Brazil and outside of Europe, positioning the school as the only international college 100% dedicated to Design in the country.
Located in this diverse cultural center and meeting point for a number of regionalities and nationalities, the headquarters of IED in São Paulo weaves a rich network of students, professors, and professionals around the generation of innovative ideas and proposals for people, businesses, and societies through the creative perspective of Design.

Study one semester at IED São Paulo with the Exchange Study Program!
Exchange Study Program
The Exchange Program allows foreign undergraduate students to enroll for one semester at IED São Paulo!
Students interested in the program must be recommended to IED’s International Office by their current educational institution.
Before applying, please check if your educational institution has a cooperation agreement with IED.
